Kindred Hearts SC leans on the experience and time of committed individuals who believe kinship care deserves more exposure and caregivers need a reliable system of support. We invite students, community volunteers and caregivers to join us in our fight! Below are areas of opportunities to serve in.
VOLUNTEERS
Our activities and events help spread our mission across South Carolina. Because of volunteers who donate their time and voice, we are able to educate more caregivers and community members while advocating for change in kinship care.
EDUCATORS
What better way to put your educational expertise to use outside of the classroom, than helping kinship caregivers? Studies show that kinship caregivers often lack the educational resources needed to adequately support their kin academically. By dedicating time as a tutor, you help alleviate one more burden from the caregiver. Thus, allowing them to truly devote their time to the care and nurturing of their kin and household.
STUDENTS
Are you a student in the human services, social work or counseling field? Kindred Hearts of SC may have the perfect opportunity for you to gain hands-on case management experience. Build your resume while creating change for a great cause.
